"The entrance to Minot Beach at the end of Gannett Road will be closed until further notice. Shifting rocks have created changing and unsafe conditions at the end of the ramp. To minimize potential risk and injury, access to this area is now prohibited. The north entrance of this beach remains open and lifeguards will remain on duty. The Town is currently exploring various options in this area, but none will be in place in the short-term. The Town recognizes that this will be inconvenient for residents but must err on the side of public safety for all beach goers." - email notice from the town of Scituate
