This rope fence marks the perimeter of Egypt Beach; the tides and storms of winter have shifted the rocks until the lower posts are almost buried beneath them.

Every winter, the beaches change. After a mild winter like the one from which we are emerging, the changes are often slight - but there have been years where the season rearranged the landscape entirely.
