Don’t lose sight

I am thankful every day for the love and laughter that fills my days. I am grateful for the light it shines into every moment.

But today, I am also thinking of friends who are bereft, whose open arms remain empty – and who yet still manage to find things to be grateful for, in spite of all they have lost.

I am struggling with the inequity of it all, that those who deserve so much are left wanting and heartbroken.

But still.

There is much to be grateful for.
