Hunkering down

The first storm of 2014 isn’t wasting any time in getting here – by tonight Scituate should be seeing blizzard conditions. As of this morning we’ve got light but consistent snow and the roads are a little slick but not terrible by any stretch of the imagination. Many schools across the state are closed today and tomorrow, but Scituate is open right now – though I’ll eat my hat if they don’t call it for tomorrow!

On a side note – things at Scituate Daily Photo are going to be decidedly low-tech for the near foreseeable future. I’ve been dealing with some health issues for the past couple of months and I have needed to become a fan of the Spoon Theory. I’ll give you what I can when I can and I’m thrilled if you’re hanging in there with me while I ration out my spoons.

Onward and upward!

  1. Thank you Ali. I live in MN and grew up in Scituate. I love your pictures. Thank you for also being brave and sharing your journey with health issues. The Spoon Theory is a very insightful analogy about dealing with daily pain. Thank you for referencing it. Peace and strength to you.

  2. Ali, I came here to see how you are doing with the storm and because I had not visited for a while. But, the important discovery is learning that you have some health issues to deal with. That saddens me. I hope that you are dealing with them as well as is possible. Don’t use any of your spoons to explain them to me. I will try to remember to return here more often to learn what you choose to share with your blog viewers.

All the best to you and your family.
