It’s Field Trip Friday! Today’s journey out of Scituate took us to the nearby Franklin Park Zoo, a perfect place to walk off yesterday’s meal and enjoy a beautiful day with the family. The resident lion extended a loud welcome to this little visitor – although the little one didn’t much appreciate his enthusiasm.
Nearby tigers paced back and forth, the same tight lines over and over:
It made me sad.
Meanwhile while zebras yawned and prairie dogs touched noses:
We saw gorillas and kangaroos (my husband’s favorites), bats and cottontop tamarins (my favorites), and flamingos and red pandas (my daughter’s favorites) – and more.
Today served as a wonderful reminder of exactly what I ma grateful for – these two wonderful people and every second I get to spend with them. If your life contains evens one half of the joy and laughter and love that my loved ones bring me, then you and I are rich beyond measure.
