Light upon light

Boston Light stands tall on Little Brewster Island with The Graves Light like a shadow behind it, as seen from Fort Revere in Hull, Massachusetts.

When we were little, my younger brother insisted on ownership rights to Boston Light. No one was allowed to call it by its proper name and I knew it only as “Herbie’s Lighthouse.” We would drive along the winding hilly roads and look for its light, peering out the windows of our station wagon, each eager to be the first to spy its beam.
