If you get up early enough in the morning on an overcast Monday, you can have a whole wildlife sanctuary to yourself. Well, mostly to yourself.

He let us get fairly close – probably because he knew we weren’t going to venture into the tall grass to approach.

The birds let us get even closer – but that’s a whole other set of pictures.

We may be missing out on beach days with the gloomy, stormy, rainy days we’ve been having – but we’re managing to find our fun anyway.
