ABC Wednesday: K is for Kent

Ali Crehan Photography: Scituate Daily Photo 2012 K is for Kent

How fitting that jumping into the ABC Wednesday community has Scituate Daily Photo starting at the letter K – because K is for Kent and it is with the Men of Kent that Scituate’s story begins.

Many of the original gravemarkers in this cemetery have not survived the centuries but the first settlers have left their mark all over town in names we take for granted now. Tilden and Turner, Hatherly and Jenkins, Edward Foster and Ann Vinal – their names are remain where their footprints have faded.

In Scituate, K is for K. Click here to see what K is for in other parts of the world.

Edited to add: Coincidentally, K is also shorthand for 1,000 – and today marks the 1,000th day of Scituate Daily Photo!
